I suspect Joma and Battra will win this one - since they probably bought cassettes, CD's and original/new vinyl versions of a certain album. Not to mention deluxe editions.
I can't think of a specific album, but it would definitely be something KISS or Whitesnake related. I would have to think about it.

I think, thanks to the two different covers, reissues, and the boxset...COTN is quite possibly the most at about 12 copies. Not sure if that's a lot. I might have guessed higher.
Although, technically speaking, the most copies of an album I own are my band's since I have a bunch of copies on hand from when we hand them made...

Did you have cassettes or only started with CD's of Creatures? Speaking about your band - how is the new album coming? When is the single going to drop exclusive to The Freewheeler? I honestly dig the stuff you shared with me.

Elder is four now that I think about it.
Momentary Lapse of Reason is four.

If you went to some flea market or something and came across some holy grail for you vinyl at a crazy cheap price that they don't even realize they are underselling and they have 5 copies of it, are you buying all 5?

I honestly dig the stuff you shared with me. I started on cassettes. 3 of my 12 COTN are cassettes. I was actually late to CDs because I didn't want half my collection on cassette, half on CD. But I did buy all the KISS albums on CD...and then naturally a couple years later they did the remasters. I didn't rebuy the whole remastered catalog...only pick and chose...one of which was Creatures because of the makeup cover. And I have no idea how many cassettes I bought when I should have been buying CDs, because I did ultimately switch formats. The album is coming along slowly... All the music is recorded. They're doing vocals now. I know they did two recording sessions last week. But I didn't get an update on how far they got after the second day, nor have I heard the tracks with vocals. I did hear most the tracks without vocals, though, and it was sounding pretty solid. Kinda sounds like they/we are planning to release them digitally a track at a time over a couple/few months, and probably do vinyl for the physical copy this time around since few still bother with CDs at this point.

Speaking of, I definitely didn't get a crazy cheap price...but I did just pick up a near minty copy of KISS without KT. Open, but still in the shrink. I was a little bummed to find the spine has a small nick in it, but otherwise it is pretty damn minty. Not sure why I have such a hard-on for that album, but it is sort of my 'grail' for some unexplainable reason...maybe cuz its kinda like a rookie card being the first. So happy to have one in such great condition. Hoping the album plays as clean as it looks...

With the internet, it's not particularly hard to find...but it is fairly hard to find in great condition. For example, a very similar copy to mine, minty in the shrink, just sold on eBay a week ago for $760...I did NOT pay that much...but I'm not exactly proud of what I paid either. But knowing it sold on eBay for that price made it a lot easier to swallow the price I did pay. And maybe I'll sell the copy I already had to make up some of it...dunno yet. I've started keeping an eye out for Alive II with the misprint, but I'm not hellbent on getting a copy. I think it's a cool variant, but it's not overly important to me so I won't be dropping hundreds to acquire one. Woulda been cool if they listed those on the 45 year anny reissue, though.

Wow, that’s a great question. It’s definitely a KISS album but not exactly sure which it is. I’m guessing it’s Destroyer.

It's the most I've ever paid for a record...and I kick myself because I coulda paid half what I paid had I asked and bought it at CF, but didn't ask until it had already sold. And I've been regretting it ever since...so I ended the regret. Now I just have to regret what I paid.

I imagine from a listening perspective, it would be weird if all your life you have heard side 2 start with KT. Like when songs were swapped on Creatures side 1/side 2 when they released the Kulick cover. I was used to the original track listing.

Naturally. I bought a copy of Creatures of the Night because it was very low priced. It was the repress and not the original. I didn’t want to get the one with Bruce on the cover.

I grew up with the cassette which had the live version of Nothin' To Lose...it was a shock to me when I played the CD for the first time and heard the studio version! And for some reason it never clicked that the live version was the same as Alive! so it couldn't possibly have been what was there all along... #DumbKid But interestingly, even though this is a grail album for me, my preferred copy to listen to will be one with KT on it because I like the song...

I have an album by Unearthed Elf. He had to change the running order when putting it on vinyl.

What would be a reasonable price these days for Double Platinum in great condition? Without having a record player or knowing what one should be sold for, it is probably the only album I would want to get for nostalgic purposes. Love the silver design.

Well, you'd have to go for the Japanese version that includes the poster! www.ebay.com/itm/375302603530?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=fdZwrxKlQUW&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=bPP4tC1jRsy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=EMAIL If I didn't just piss away so much for the s/t, and then learn we owe 6k for taxes, I'd be tempted to grab it myself. But I do have a near mint complete, promo copy of DP already. No poster because it's the US release, but the records sound brand spankin' new. I was very impressed the first time I listened to it a couple years ago...had it for years, but bought it when I didn't have a TT.
