So are they adjusting to Paul's vocal range? Was he better than some of the videos we have seen? Paul is painfully carrying on as if nothing is wrong. They are pacing his vocals out a bit more, out of 13 songs he only sings 5 1/2 and there are the drum/guitar solo bit and Gene's ultra musical Jaco Pastorius inspired bass solo in there as well. His between song banter isn't as drawn out, but he's doing that Modern Day Delilah shriek all over the place every chance he gets and it's just painful, like the horse death cry of a 90 year old getting bludgeoned to death by kicks to the nads. They should add My Way to the set.

They should add My Way to the set. Since Paul still thinks he's this great powerhouse singer I say he should grab the spotlight and do a three song medley of My Way, I'll Fight Hell To Hold You and I Still Love You midset. Interspersed with teases of his role as The Phantom. It's sad that Paul insisted on blowing his voice out permanetely due to ego. Here is Paul Rodgers who still has a fantastic voice at his age.

Glad your kid enjoyed the show, LED. Oh, and I agree whole-heartedly about Tommy Lee's solo.....just awful. Horrid. And yes, please ban Lee from ever having a microphone.

Alright. Crue did a decent set, the sound was a mess for them, bassy incoherant rumble of noise. I hadn't seen 'em live since the 80s but damn, they need to take the microphone away from Tommy Lee. It's not "cool" or "edgy" to sit and ramble off a million shits and fucks ad naseum. His "drum solo", damn if he didn't have that silly rollercoaster thing people would be pining for Rikki Rocket's shit fest from when they opened for Kiss. All he did was play straight, boring, rhythm along to generic sounding hip hop samples, absolutely atrocious. But, they picked a pretty good setlist, Vince tried to sing most of the words and they worked the crowd pretty good. Ethan liked 'em but he said his favorite song was the sample of Love Rollercoaster that Tommy played along to, LOL Then Kiss, sound was a million times clearer. "New" stage is nothing impressive, setlist is as predictable as it's been since 1974. The big screen thing, stairs and lights, what's new exactly? DRC sounded good but in SIOL it was clear Paul was struggling, uh oh. Song two? Really? The most painful moments were his between song chatter, sounded like he was dying for air during his spiel before Firehouse. In songs it's not too distracting, but he has got to change his approach to compensate. Thankfully the drum/guitar thingy was kept short. Ethan had a blast, we left mid RARAN to beat the crowd. Made it home much earlier than from the Maiden gig the other night. Crowd was mellower. Older crowd, not as many kids as on the SB tour. Not as many drunks doing nasty shit either. ;D For the first time since I've started seeing the band the crowd wasn't into Lick It Up. I've always moaned about it being in the setlist but live it's usually such a crowdpleaser that the energy earns it the spot in the show, but last night it was a call for everyone around to sit and rest their feet for a few minutes. Shock Me as well, they must have listened to SCB because whole rows sat it out. ;D When the show was over my wife said that's her last Kiss show "every time I've gone with you to see them it's the exact same concert, nothing ever changes" LOL It was fun, but it's gotten so beyond predictable it's not even funny. I don't see myself going to the Monster tour when that happens. Unless Ethan desperately wants to go. I honestly wouldn't mind if I don't see them again, I've been to dozens of shows over the last 30 years and they're not getting any better. Oh, the cheezy animation to God of Thunder? LOL Lego Orc Gene army? No curfew speech from Paul, but he did refer to his "homies" and make a bad "yo yo yo" impersonation... Walked out half way through RARAN to beat the fuckin ' traffic ! That's just unthinkable to me.... walks out during RARAN. Good way to beat the traffic just stay at home.

Yeah how dare I leave during a song I've seen them perform like 40 times, I have no idea what I was missing... I've walked out as they were announcing RARAN...not to beat traffic but just so I didn't have to hear the fucking song for the 8 millionth time.

Lee is like, that old white trash dude who drinks and hangs out with 13-14 year olds and thinks he's hip as all fuck. His whole white guy as rap thug act is just sad and pathetic. You know you're fucked when you're totally outclassed by Nikki Sixx. ;D Best. Quote. Ever. Exalt!!!

Excuse me while I go wipe that song from public record and all master reels Spice up your life should be wiped from existence is all. How in blue fuck can anyone say such things about RARAN is so far beyond me. You can't walk out during RARAN... that's just plain rediculous. The day i walk out during RARAN is the day i would definitely not entertain to go at all. Is that what we do when we watch any KISS live DVD that end's with RARAN we just shut the thing off , at the end of MTV Unplugged as they finish " NOthing to lose " do you just turn off the DVD.... NO WAY. How does a great song become less great just because you've heard it 40 or more times ? I will concedce RARAN is one song in the catalogue you may need to abstain from before a concert so it retains some freshness for on the night but never walk out on RARAN. I just can't imagine walking out on RARAN..... When KISS began with Detroit rock city in ' 01 farewell tour era did we all walk out at the beginning of the show and get to the parking lot and have the car warm and ready to go REDICULOUS. RARAN is one of the greatest live in concert songs ever any band, any time.

You can walk out during Detroit rock city and go sit in the car and play the studio version of RAARAN.
