Just recorded this an hour ago...all first takes, no practice, as usual....I've submitted it to be on the FAQ Unplugged Tribute cd, but since it's not technically unplugged, who knows....enjoy. soundcloud.com/nichartley/let-me-know-kiss-cover

The jazzy lounge lizard mix. Snazzy stuff, Sir. Why thank you, kind gentleman. Been listening to a lot of 50's music lately, and this just seemed like the thing to do.

Thanks guys! Again, it was just an off the cuff thing, nothing serious. Erik, what did you have to be brutal about? I'm listening.

As with everything else you have posted here, I love this. I dig your style of music a lot, it's high energy and totally fun. It's hard to find your own sound, but you've certainly done it. Always look forward to hearing what you put up.

Thanks guys! Again, it was just an off the cuff thing, nothing serious. Erik, what did you have to be brutal about? I'm listening. Well, conceptually I thought it was really cool - a very different take on the song, and one that worked. However, your, "One take," methodology left several spots of your vocals off key. Punching in and fixing those spots would have made it much better in terms of the execution. You can certainly sing on key, but doing any song in one take is going to leave spots that are off key or not delivered as well as they could have been. That's it. So for me it was good conceptually, and the attitude of the performance was really good, but some parts of the vocal didn't work (and needed to be punched in and fixed).

Again, not too serious of a project. Also---I pulled a Gene and sang the first verse in the third verse! Lol

That's what I dig with a lot of your tunes, I actually visit this thread often and listen to your music. I love how raw it is, it's totally kick ass.

Thanks, IAH. I prefer that raw, lo-fi, one take business myself. Yes, I do like very well produced music as well, but also love the juxtaposition of the EXACT opposite...I guess that's some of my indie/punk/alternative influences in attitude coming through.
