If it meant using my "own" money, it had to be something like Robocop 2 or the first TMNT movie. Of course, we still needed parents for a ride, and sure, the money we used was probably allowance they gave us or shit for half-ass doing chores or something, but nevermind that.

My cousin worked at a local cinema and I bought a ticket to see some kids' film but she snuck me in to watch The Lost Boys - which we planned beforehand. JACKPOT! Still love that film.
