Beautiful weather here in Philly today. Went for a walk and now watching our amazing Phillies. Excellent season, so far. Who makes the best Philly Steaks where you live?

Isn't it supposed to be provolone cheese for a cheesesteak? WHIZ WIT' SON! tell me ya never been to Philly without telling me you never been to Philly. I haven't, but provolone cheese is used in Philly and a simple Google search will confirm that. This isn't to say that some restaurants haven't done their own spin on it though with other cheese. Authentic Philly Cheesesteak is made with ribeye steak that's sliced into thin slices, and topped with melted provolone cheese, white American cheese, or Cheez Whiz. Even the Dominos Pizza Philly Steak you like is with provolone.

I'm a vegan, so you'd have to ask a Philly carnivore. Ah. How long have you been a vegan? Full disclosure... I am not a strict vegan, as I eat fish once a week and will indulge in a little feta cheese on a Greek Salad occasionally. I have not eaten beef, chicken, pork since 2019.

Dairy products are derived from animals, not to mention very unhealthy on several levels. When I drastically minimized my ingestion of dairy products at the beginning of the year, I began to experience must better digestion, and far better overall health. Here's an excellent article if you'd like the gory details on dairy: plantbasednews.org/your-health/health-wellbeing/dairy-milk-health-effects/

I know some vegetarians - that are just fine with that level of choice when it comes to animals. They still need eggs, cheese and other similar things in their life - being able to order a cheese pizza for example. I was just curious about your stance.

HM reached out & had been messaging me about the Blackwell situation before he became ill so we'll have to wait until HM returns so he can explain it for himself. So...Blackwell. It seems I touched a nerve with him which I find incredibly odd - because we are both aware that we add a little dramatic theater to our debates, which he always encouraged. We go a bit over the top for the readers benefit, like we did on the FAQ - which is why our debates were so popular there back in the day. It is supposed to appear as if we are actually getting heated with each other. It seems he was so insulted with my take on guitar solo's not being essential to hit songs - the view that Living On A Prayer/Pour Some Sugar On Me would still be a big hit with a different or no solo, it would still be a big hit. Why? Because chicks who love the song - don't care about the solo - they are singing the lyrics. He is so obsessed with the guitar and it is also how he makes his living, that I apparently crossed a line. Like I diminished his whole existence or something, when that wasn't my intention at all and I was going a little over the top with my argument as we always have. Now we did talk a week ago via email - so we are still talking, but his position is literally that the discussion here is beneath him. That is a quote. That he is so on the opposite spectrum of everyone here because music is seemingly dead to him from the 90's on and so anything we may praise as being good beyond that is just a waste of his time. Blackwell is a good guy, but we have been down this road before. Some people here thought he was a music snob and uptight when he quit the forum the first time. He is fine with people seeing him this way.
