I'm listening to Erasure...which I suspect will appeal to no one here but I love them! Going to see them at a tiny little club down the street on Sunday night. I'm super excited!

Utopia - " Itch in my brain " - from the studio album Oblivion
ELVIS Presley - " That's when your heart ache begins " - Essential ELVIS Volume 1 compilation ( Best sound for ELVIS songs currently available. The cousin of Love me tender with similar speaking part and all, not as good as " Love me tender " but still good.
My first post over here guys ;D
Shhhhhh or Frehleys Vomit will find out.

Duran Duran is one of those bands, their first three albums were so good, every song was wonderful, then, nothing! I've made it to disc 4 of 73 on my Grateful Dead Europe '72 box set, LOL Oh my god! 73 discs?!?! That's crazy! The only other Duran Duran I've owned was the Wedding album from 1993. It's spotty in some places but overall I really like it.

I really need to pick up Night of Hunters. I've been low on $$$ after my recent extravagant CD spending lately (that $450 GD Europe '72 box was a bit much, followed quickly by the next batch of Queen remasters and preordering the Smiths box, the Aqualung remaster, et al. LOL) Finally made it through the new Alice Cooper album. That was a chore. I liked I Gotta Get Outta Here, the rest I could never see myself listening to again. Tolerable and forgettable at best, torturously awful at worst. Beyond the material - how does it sound? Essentially could KISS still benefit from Bob Ezrin. Yes, I know - Revenge is overrated. Fuck you. ;D

Fuck you. ;D Come one, you can really listen to Take It Off, I Just Wanna or Everytime I Look At You and honestly say "wow, this is Paul at the top of his game", LIAR!!! Those songs with the same horrible production wouldn't be out of place on Crazy Nights or HITS. Can't really judge the Coop album, it's an MP3 download played on my work computer's speakers. Paul is at the top of his game compared to the 4 previous albums. I will take those songs over the most of Paul's 80's output. All I really care about are Gene songs for the most part and I love his work on Revenge - even Spit. Besides, production makes all the difference in the world. Had Ezrin produced Hot In The Shade with the songs written as is, he would have added actual life to those songs.

I largely got over the shmaltzy lyrics after the classic Love Gun, which might as well be called "A Song About My Dong." Not exactly high brow stuff. Neither is Plaster "This Is My Ceramic Dong" Caster, etc. Even if you put the shmaltz of the lyrics on an even playing field, the BIGGEST differences between Revenge and its immediate predecessors are twofold: the production and the grit of the music. I'd much rather hear the riffage of Unholy or the layered chorus of Heart Of Chrome (which I love) than fucking My Way or Radar For Love.

Black Country Communion. Maybe Glen Hughes is the voice of rock Why'd I ignore this the first time around? Great stuff. You were probably listenening to Blackwell's argument about how BCC were lame for doing the classic rock thing today and how they could learn from Nickleback.

Listening to the "Let It Be" album by the Beatles. Not their greatest album, but everytime I listen to it I like it better.
