I forgot to mention Clutch - Blast Tyrant, one of my all time favorite albums.
I would also add Turbonegro to the mix -
Scandinavian Leather (2003) Party Animals (2005)
These have a very heavy Rolling Stones influence with really juvenile lyrics. They're a really fun listen.
The new album is really good too, even with a new lead singer. (Sexual Harassment)

I'm surprised at the lack of attention it got. Maybe People are so sick of Bam that his brother is paying the price?

Okay, this is horrible, and there is a reason this shit-laden thread hasn't been touched in a while.

Not new, but a recommendation nonetheless. Some really neat footage of David Allan Coe chatting with the inmates and performing at Tennessee State Prison sometime in 1975. Wish there was more of this show out there.
(By the way, for anyone who isn't guitar-incompetent like me, how the hell does he get that "phasey," for lack of a better word, sound from his guitar that's prominent on the snippet of "Living on the Run" you hear that starts around 4:03? It was sort of a DAC trademark in the '70s and I've always thought it sounds nifty as hell but I don't know how it's done in the slightest.)

Cage, early 'Horrorcore' artist, former drug addict, mental patient and a real "suicidal failure" Legendary underground rapper who has been around since '88, famous for Eminem stealing his style (even rhymes) and using Cage's real life story for his image.
Had a couple of great hip-hop cd's, one while he was an addict, 'Movies for the Blind', one on his way to recovery 'Hell's Winter', and one CD which isn't rap after his addiction called 'Depart From Me'
Great artist

Just started listening to MY BEST FIEND as of yesterday... The whole album is dripping in influence. And, there is a LOT going on in this album cover. Superb. One of the SICKEST album covers EVER. I really like that song. It is not often that I pick up something new, from a rec on the message boards (as I am pretty set in my musical ways), but I love that song and that is a FUCKING CLASSIC ALBUM COVER. I am going to seek out some more info on this band. Good call, nex

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Push the Sky Away
I'm not really a fan of this type of music, but for some reason I'm really digging the album.

King Tuff - S/T Melody's Echo Chamber - S/T
both from 2012. The King Tuff sounds like the Exploding Hearts or the Buzzcocks, The Melody's Echo Chamber is recommended if you like French pop singers over psych music (produced by the dude from Tame Impala)

With the current conversation about Cheap Trick opening for Boston, I would like to submit Cheap Trick In Color 1998: The Albini Sessions. I always liked "In Color". I thought most of the songs were strong, but that it wasn't raw enough, not like CT live. The band decided to make this unofficial re-recording with Steve Albini and was done without Epic's permission. Check out Downed. Look Here

Listening to The Atomic Bitchwax, mainly their 4th album (4), I need to listed to their earlier stuff. Not a great band, but good old fashioned solid Rock N Roll IMO

You're really giving a recommendation to our members here that they should really check out Poison? Or Warrant? LOL! No shit! 12 or so bands in your catalog? Yikes. Horrid, no offense.

You're really giving a recommendation to our members here that they should really check out Poison? Or Warrant? For the 80's Guns, Bon Jovi, Warrant and Poison all had big hits and tours so yes I would. "Dog eat dog" is a great album.
