I'm sorta indifferent to them. I probably didn't give them the fairest shake growing up, but I didn't like them back then...so they've at least grown on me to indifference. Not the biggest fan of Halford's screamy voice, though...

I like the new album. There’s a lot to enjoy although I haven’t spent much time with it yet.
Although I always put Maiden first, I am quite the Priest fan. I got the Metal Works 73-93 CD as a gift in 2000 and went from there. My favourite album is Sad Wings Of Destiny and my favourite song is Desert Plains.
I saw them in 2010 and was less than thrilled to be honest. Nostradamus wasn’t one of their better ideas.

Sorry just not into screaming metal like Priest and Maiden or Metallica for that matter.

Ain’t Priest anymore it’s Rob Halford & Friends.
Screaming For Vengeance is one of the best metal albums of all time. They’re pretty patchy album-wise otherwise.

Priest were at their most creative in the 70s. Killing Machine and British Steel helped them find their formula and they repeated it for the next decade. With an increasing reliance on drum machines.

Tons of long term bands now are one or two guys and "friends". At least Priest still has the singer everyone wants in the band.

I read both Downing and Halford’s autobiographies at the same time. I enjoyed both, though Rob’s was far less of a misery memoir.
One question remains, if KK was so miserable being part of the band in general and working with Glenn Tipton specifically, why did he not leave at the same time as Rob?

I haven’t listened to them. The only reason that band exists, and the only reason KK keeps bitching about not being asked to rejoin Judas Priest, is because his investments failed.

He’s ripping off old Judas Priest tunes and writing sequels to them as far as I can tell. Son Of Sentinel, One More Shot At Glory…
Plus, Tim Owens is a literal tribute band Halford whose only claim to fame is the scream. He’s a one trick pony who can’t write a lyric to save his soul. It’s embarrassing.

Of Course, They are my TOP 5 for "Heavy Metal" All Time Bands.
Everything from "SAD WINGS OF DESTINY" to "PAINKILLER" is Awesome!!!
I Love ALL of the LPs between that time (1976-1990) & have 'em all.
Then "After" PAINKILLER they had IMO about 1/3 Good Songs per Album. Rock-a'Rolla and Sin After Sin were not bad, 3/4 Good Songs per LP.

My last concert was a Priest show. 2018 at the haunted Detroit masonic temple.
