I'm surprised how high Crazy Night lands on your list... When it gets down to the bottom level of albums, it is more about individual songs over the full album. Crazy Nights is mostly garbage, but I love Thief In The Night. Should have been on Creatures since it existed back then over I Still Love You. I suppose you only have it a few higher than me... I have Animalize, Asylum, and HITS higher...and it's probably about the same as Peter.

Ok, so I know you dig The Elder and Gene’s ‘78 solo album. I agree wholeheartedly with you on that. A couple questions….. What is your favorite KISS song and album? Is Gene’s ‘78 your favorite of the solo albums? How do you rank them? Is there anything from Sonic Boom and Monster that you like? Fave KISS song is probably Larger Than Life. For today Destroyer, but I rank the albums like this: 1. Destroyer 2. Hotter Than Hell 3. Creatures 4. Ace Frehley 5. Alive 6. Alive II Studio Side 7. Gene Simmons (ya, I know - I just love it) 8. The Elder (ya, I know there too) 9. Lick It Up 10. Revenge 11. Rock And Roll Over 12. DTK 13. KISS 14. Unmasked 15. Paul Stanley 16. Love Gun 17. Dynasty 18. Psycho Circus (really for Within and Journey only, which I love) 19. Crazy Nights 20. Animalize 21. Carnival 22. Asylum 23. Hot In The Shade 24. Sonic Boom 25. Monster 26. Peter Criss I like Russian Roulette and Animal on SB. Wall Of Sound and Long Way Down on Monster. Feel free to keep the questions coming. Do you keep your lists saved and updated like SLOW does or do you type it out fresh each time.

Now that I look at it, I put Unmasked too high, but you should be loving Unholy especially after the crap they were releasing for years. You know the story - Hide Your Heart almost made me say fuck this shit band. Unholy brought me back. I will do a new ranking.

Don't get me wrong, Paul's album is good - but it isn't anything incredible. I give more credit to Gene for his album, which truly was a solo album and something different than the band he is in.

Well we all know you prefer Gene vocals anyway, I think BUWF is a big stinker though, terrible followup to Radioactive. Not relevant but Bob Kulick once stated about Paul's '78 "Paul wanted to prove to everybody that he was KISS".

I get it that most people wanted a demon album from Gene. 10 Dr. Love or Almost Human's or whatever. I appreciate that he took a bigger risk creatively than only use songs that would have ended up on a KISS album. Well I am not sure Paul proved anything, because Ace's album is typically deemed the best, but sure it is a good album.

Love everything that KISS did. 2. Liking soundtracks in general and believing at the time that it was going to be for a movie. 3. The Oath is fantastic and the album in general was heavier to me than the pop/disco stuff prior.

The Elder was ruined from the start when Ace's solos got left out. Ezrin was on drugs. Ezrin was on drugs for Destroyer too and no-one complains about that, even though a good chunk of it is pretty poor. Flaming Youth and Sweet Pain are half arsed, King Of The Night Time World deserved to be rewritten as an original song and Beth should not exist.

Not some opera nonsense. Love sweet pain and King of the night time world.

Dark Light is a cool Ace song, etc. Sure Just A Boy and Odyssey may not be killer songs, but again if you have been exposed to other music at the time and various soundtracks - it wasn't as shocking to me as it obviously was to you. As for my brother - from his perspective, it wasn't like there was great KISS music. He more or less would have laughed at it all. I want to see your KISS album ranking. Go.

I can see how you ingratiated yourself to the album expecting the movie. Are you the one who accidentally discovered the Elder in the soundtrack section. I recall someone posting that before on the FAQ thinking they'd discovered something rare.

It's not like it was now 1982 and I thought a movie was still coming. Waiting for your KISS album ranking.
