Gee, that trailer is better than most recent entire movies.

Didn't care for the first one...mostly because they called it Joker, like it was an origins film or something. I suppose it mighta been alright if you watched it from the standpoint of some rando mentally ill dude that thinks he's the Joker or some shit, but the character in the movie was a dipshit and incapable of being the comic book character.

Yeah but you do that and 80% less people would go see it.
There’s no way they’re setting this up as a proper Batman thing, Bruce Wayne was about eleven. If you carry that through then Batman is going to be fighting a 70 year old Joker in a red and green walking frame. It’s just a riff on familiar characters.
“The Batman” fucked up The Riddler and The Penguin, Batman Begins fucked up Ras Al Ghul. The Flash fucked up Keaton’s Batman. I’m sure lots of people thought 89 fucked up Joker and Returns fucked up Penguin and Catwoman. Not my opinion. They’re all just riffs on characters. Nothing is definitive anymore, it’s just there until the next reboot.

I really dug The Batman and so looking forward to more.
Not so much a fan of the Nolan films - Batman Begins in the best though. I know I am in the minority there.

The Dark Knight kicked all the ass. The other two were okay, but TDK was the best Batman movie of any IMO. Ledger did a great Joker. And the movie was two good movies in one. The movie coulda been over when Joker was caught and it woulda been a solid enough flick, but it was just halfway through.

Had too many problems with it as a Batman fan.

Putting an absurd comic character like Batman in a gritty realistic setting doesn’t work, for me.
Much prefer the Burtonverse. Or the animated series with the deco noir stuff.
And yeah, I don’t rate American Psycho as Batman either. The weird thing was he copped so much shit for that silly voice in TDK, I was sure they would tone it down for the third one. Nope!
