I wrote and recorded this 12 days ago. Hope ya' like it. Kinda' all over the place, as is all of my music, but there's stuff to enjoy, I think. Freewheelers, you are hearing here first..... soundcloud.com/nichartley/i-love-your-face-2

Dute or FV, have you had occasion to check out the tune?

You promised me we were going to be a duo LED. What the hell. Too many stipulations in your contract I can't agree with. SCB is no holes, err, holds, barred. Sorry. ;D Dute or FV, have you had occasion to check out the tune? Apologies, I'm forgetful! Had a listen; I like the verses, the lyrics are kinda cool. The song goes for way too long and at times there seems like a mashup of music at random that briefly kill the momentum of the song. Vocals reminded me of Whitfield Crane, lead singer of Ugly Kid Joe. There's the brutal truth you asked for.

Not bad at all.
You can sing my man. You got soul and gravel, nice.
I think the pace of the vocal against the break down slower riff parts is disjointing.
The ending of the song is complete juiceville.
Well done.
I wasn'nt expecting it to be good.

He paints an ugly picture himself but he should not. I don't paint an ugly picture of myself. But I have been ugly towards you. Sincerely, though, thanks for the compliments. You are, however still a douche.

FV....any thoughts on the song? Sorry I'm late on listening to this one. The first thing I noted was how much it sounds like early Alice Cooper, especially vocally. Cool. I think the song itself is actually quite good, but the drums need major work and some of the percussion is too loud at times. Can you spend more time on mixing the instrumental tracks? Some override the others in volume and that's distracting. Also, the tempo varies throughout. Are you working with a metronome? It sounds a little untogether because of these things but you can tell it's a good song. I'd like to hear your songs in a good studio setting. If you could get Ezrin then that'd be really cool. ;D Overall your stuff is pretty good. Thank you so much man. I actually just wrote another song today, and am about to go record it....you guys have me inspired...I don't use a metronome at all...in fact, I am very reckless when recording...I don't wait to get to know the songs and let them breathe and practice them before I record them, because I feel like I'll NEVER get around to doing that. SO I record them pretty much immediately as they come. I wish you guys all lived closer...We could start a band...

If you could get Ezrin then that'd be really cool. ;D LOL, if only it were that easy! I noted the Alice Cooper influence as well, great minds think alike! ;D You were the first to say that, indeed. Exalts to both of you...

SO I record them pretty much immediately as they come. I wish you guys all lived closer...We could start a band... I'd definitely take part if it were possible. I really miss being in a band. Sadly the only excitement going on in the LE camp is a compilation we're working on. Still speak to the guys but two of 'em are out of the country (guitarist is back in Rio, he was at the famous COTN show, LOL), singer is in Singapore right now (he's always moving from country to country, $$$$), poor me here in the ghetto, and my best friend Fred (keys) is in Vegas, also poor as fuck, LOL I always made it a point to only arrange a song so much before recording it, to keep things spontaneous. Never play the same thing the same way twice. When it came to playing live we'd only rehearse the more difficult bits, leave everything else open, and leave ourselves a lot of room to make shit up as we went along. We'd take out longer tunes and totally canibalize 'em, take bits of different segments of songs and piece 'em together. Was fun. Guitarist and I would throw Kiss riffs in there to link bits together, other guys would never know. ;D The good old days. I miss being in a band too. Really something freeing about having a group that you can express musically with.
