You know those familiar character actors that constantly show up, but are not considered a star or on anyone's typical favorite actor list. Who are your favorite character actors. I will post my list soon.

That's one that is very tough, he's shown he CAN carry both a bombastic movie(s) with the evil dead series and he's carried a more subdued starring turn in Bubba Ho-tep (if playing elvis in a retirement home after the double he switched with is subdued that is.) and of course all those b-movies he was the star of....
On the other hand, he really is known for playing the secondary but sometimes most memorable character. I don't remember much about Mchale's Navy except Campbell's hamming it up and I honestly watch Burn Notice more for Sam Ax (his character) than Michael Weston (Jeffrey Donovan who's an excellent actor in his own rights).....
I guess I just look at him as God... Keeps things simple, and has the same percentage rate of answered prayers as YWHW.

He is great in just about everything he's in Saucy, plus anyone who voiced a killer doll is A-OK in my book

No Christopher Walken fans? Gary Oldman, Harry Dean Stanton, Max Von Sydow, Takashi Shimura... That's a bunch of great names (and great actors) there. I'd add J.T. Walsh to that list.

I like Walken but he's the same in everything he does, so I don't think he counts.

I'm such a B movie fan LED all those actors would be the leading man in most films I watch

I don't think I've seen any of Walken's earlier work. It's a shame watching what the other three have become. Walken still manages to be cool but comparing Nicholson, for example, in Cuckoo's Nest to the charicature he has become is sad.

Along with my previous metion of J.T. Walsh I should also mention Ward Bond. He was a great character actor who had a fantastic career.
Warner Brothers had a great group of character actors in the 30's and 40's like Joseph Sawyer, Barton MacLane, Elisha Cook Jr, and Sydney Greenstreet. Their group of character actors was phenomenal.
