Couldn't give half a shit about newer games, but I can safely say I've forgotten more about the NES/Genesis/SNES-era than most people ever knew.
That's not a brag, it's a reflection of a life wasted.

lol....whenever the kids go to chuck-e-cheese, i'll usually park myself in front of 'galaga' or 'missle command', the lone old-school games in the building, lol....
at home, it's mostly ncaa football or tiger woods golf on the PS3, although i can't handle watching real golf on TV. occasionally i'll dive into some multiplayer 'modern warfare', and 'guitar hero' with larger groups....

" BOOMSHAKALAKA ! "
" Is it the shoeeeeeees "
" He's On fireeeeeeeee "
NBA JAM
Easily the best arcade game ever IMO.
Anyone remember Leisure suit Larry : The land of the lounge Lizard ?
Set in the fictional city of Lost Wages, the story follows middle-aged salesman Larry Laffer as he tries to "get lucky". Land of the Lounge Lizards establishes several elements which recur in later games, including Larry's campy attire, perpetual bad luck with women,[3] and penchant for double-entendres. The story and basic structure of the game are lifted from Softporn Adventure, an 1981 Apple II
A prostitute is available as soon as the game starts. Should Larry have intercourse with her, he will contract a venereal disease and die shortly thereafter.[1][2] This fate may be avoided by purchasing a condom at the convenience store; however, Larry questions the validity of losing his virginity to a hooker, and the game resumes[1] (though the time limit is removed, nonetheless).

Super Street fighter II with hidden character " Akuma "
Dhalasim and the damn Yoga flame used to give me all sorts of trouble when fighting him.
Vega - what a tough bastard he was too beat.
Guile - My fav character to use as my fighter.
M.Bison
Ryu
Ken
Used to love using Akuma in later street fighter series as my fighter.

I loved the games on the Commodore 64/128. Still have them and a working computer.

It's essentially just Jam transported to 3D, done by the same team who did the original (unlike the awful "NBA Jam 3D"). I think it was also on PSX and N64, but the Dreamcast version is the way to go and even looks nicer than the arcade original. Lots and lots and lots of hours wasted with friends on the DC version, even though I generally don't like sports games.

Incidentally, I assume most are probably aware, but there's emulators available for just about any system you can imagine. Learning curve can be a little steep for things like MAME (arcade games) and some of the C64/Amiga emulators, but mostly it's pretty straightforward. (And the image files for the games can be easily found at about any torrent outlet.) Emulators a plenty here though - www.zophar.net/

I've used MAME before. Pretty easy to setup most games and most are great emulations.

Brought the actual arcade machine. A fucker stole it

Never been a gamer. I'll play the "musical frontman" type card here and say video games haven't been the same since hours spent playing Galaga in 1982 and my Atari 2600. It's not a generational thing I just think games lack personality and quality these days. I'm not getting older, games are just far less superior. Fuck Madden, the best football game ever created was this:

I've never been much for video games. I spent a lot of hours playing Atari 2600 and Nintendo when I was a kid but I lost interest in video games around the time I started high school. I bought a PS2 years ago but the games just didn't hold my attention. The kids played it in the summer but when they weren't here the thing just collected dust.
I bought a Wii this year and I enjoy the games that came with the system (the sports ones) but I never got around to buying any games for it and I mostly just use it to stream netflix (which makes it totally worth the investment)
I do play games on my iphone sometimes. Angry Birds was an addiction for a little while and I liked the air hockey game. But mostly I lean towards the poker and backgammon games on there.

It does seem like I recall there being trivia questions at the end of a match or something like that, though mainly what I remember is the "button mashing game" that comes up between quarters. I never figured out how it's exactly supposed to work, you just cram as many buttons as you can as fast as you can and get random power-ups and stuff.

I go through periods where I'm addicted to playing it daily and long periods where I can go for months without touching it. I played Battlefield2 for a while but not huge on PC gaming as a whole (though I have found Angry Birds online and I do enjoy it ). Love my classic arcade games and I am a Nintendo enthusiast from way back. Right now on the Wii I have about 8 games - a couple I've clocked and most I am nowhere near finishing. Isis, I do enjoy Wii sports. You can get quite a work out from a couple of those games, boxing in particular.

I love the old school stuff. I have Galaga, Elevator Action and Qix in upright arcade cabinets. I had an original Asteroids in the original upright cabinet, but sold it a coupla years ago. I regret that. Any particular reason you sold it?
