I support the right for a woman to get an abortion if she so chooses or needs to. Do you support the right to choose or are you against abortion across the board?
This disgusts me more than abortion.

i'm pro-choice, but that certainly doesn't mean i'm pro-abortion, if that makes sense. being an adopted child, i would hope that's a viable option for anyone (adoption).....but sometimes, long story short, extenuating circumstances necessitate it.

I feel the same way. My wife was adopted as well, so she was happy to find a loving home.

What happens to my body should be my decision and no one else's. Period.

So you say it's a woman's rite?.. What happens to my body should be my decision and no one else's. Period. If a man doesn't want it and the woman is going to have it anyway he shouldn't have to pay child support. I mean if it's ONLY HER DECISION then the man has no rights. waiting for resulting fallout. ;D

I mean if it's ONLY HER DECISION then the man has no rights. waiting for resulting fallout. ;D Truthfully, that's complicated because on one hand I think if the guy honestly does NOT want the child then he should also have the ability to walk away without being liable for child support. With the stipulation that it means no custody, no contact, no deciding a few years down the line that you made a mistake and want back into the kids life. You are not referred to as the father but rather "sperm donor". But at the same time, I know some men would abuse this much the way that some women abuse abortion (tho this is not as widespread as some would have you believe...A 10 year study has determined that 62% of women who seek abortions were using contraception when they became pregnant.) So I'm also in favor of a 3 strikes and your sterilized rule for BOTH men and women. I also want to expand that original statement. The fact is that a fetus can not grow to term outside of a womb. It's also a fact that while the fetus is in the womb it is living off of its host. Because of these two things I believe that the woman ultimately has the deciding vote. BUT I also believe that the decision is something that a couple should make together. I've never had an abortion but if I was in the position I wouldn't consider making the decision without first taking into consideration my husbands feelings on the matter...just as I hope he would respect both my feelings AND my medical situation (since again, it's impossible to seperate out the mother's medical from the fetus) As an aside, some reproduction fun facts for you: Did you know that fill out your paperwork at the hospital to give birth one of the options they give you is to have a sterilization done while you are there. HOWEVER, if you go in for an abortion and ask them to sterilize you they will refuse to do it because you are (And I quote) "Not in a rational state of mind to make that decision" Also if you are childless it is difficult to get doctors to perform a sterilization, that is especially true if you are childless and under 30 as they believe that you will come to regret the decision. 60% of women seeking abortions already have one or more children. Women seeking abortions overwhelmingly do so because they can not afford the financial costs of having a child. Studies have shown that roughly a quarter of the women seeking abortions are morally opposed to abortion. 18% of women are Evangelicals or Born-Again. Catholic women seek abortions 27% more frequently than Protestants women. Which means that a whole lot of people SAY they don't believe in the right to choose but take advantage of that ability to choose when they are faced with an unwanted pregnancy.

I invited him too, got no response. There was also Just Lee, another conservative, and D72 as well... D72 literally thinks that I am insane with the capacity to kill.

Seriously though, it's a fucked up system all around.

Can't argue with any of that. I'd love to since this is a 'debate'. Spot on.... I like the cut of your jib, pal!
