Why did I get banned? IQ too high? You are still technically banned - if you want me to keep it that way, then keep talking. If you honestly want to contribute to the forum with a clean slate and no more mentions of the past, then cool.

What's up fellas. I am new to The Freewheeler. Hey Man has been trying to recruit me for sometime now. I am here to stay for as long as you guys can tolerate me. A little bit about myself... - I am a liberal minded person.
- I am an idealist. I believe in the power of humanity to improve humanity.
- I don't know what to believe about an afterlife, as I am focused on understanding, enjoying, and doing good in this life.
- I love music and my tastes are fairly eclectic. I love Sammy Hagar, Van Halen, The Avett Brothers, Michael Franti, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, the Beastie Boys...
- I like to drop curse words from time-to-time to add emphasis.
- I can be pretty irreverent when it comes to narrow-minded beliefs and practices.
- I am flawed and inconsistent sometimes.
- I love movies. My favorites are The Big Lebowski, Men Who Stare at Goats, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Empire Strikes Back, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington...
- Breaking Bad is my all time favorite show. Sons of Anarchy was pretty bad ass too.
Thanks for having the HeisenDude!

You know, there just has to be that suspension of disbelief to really enjoy a good movie.

But how do you reconcile the fact that Indiana Jones is rendered completely useless and everything that happens is for naught since the Germans get the ark, and open the ark without anything Indy did making any difference either way. It's my favorite action movie by the way, I just ignore that bit. Well, he actually did get the Ark in the hands of the US - without him, that would not have happened. The only Indiana Jones film where he has any impact of the four films - is Temple of Doom. Last Crusade - he got his father back but other than that, the events would've unfolded as they did. He didn't even get to keep the Grail like he did the Ark. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - he returns the skull, the Soviets perish and Akator is destroyed. That would've happened without him. Like Last Crusade, he at least did save Marion and Harold.

You just started a heated debate. Hey, it's not really a debate - the only thing he does in the last two films is save three people that are close to him and in the first he gets the US to have the Ark. That's pretty minimal of an outcome for a film hero. There is a point to the idea that he has no impact on the film's outcome. Temple of Doom? He rescues a crap-ton of kidnapped children, exposes a Thuggee cult and retrieves the Sankara Stones for the village.

Was the film any less enjoyable knowing the Nazis die either way? Nope.

New FW member, reporting for duty. Longtime lurker of places like the FAQ and MetalSludge, and this place. Decided to join here because its a smaller community and lots of the topics are in line with my interests. Out of the box, here are some of my positions on five notable topics, based on my lurking status: - KISS: fan for almost 30 years. Love all eras, except for the current one (where have we heard this before?). Have supported current lineup -- like some of the tunes on SB, Monster and saw them in Vegas. But it gets harder and harder to support the band with the state of Paul's voice and some of the nonsense he's spewed in the press in recent years. - Winery Dogs: Big Kotzen fan and love TWD. - Van Halen: Huge fan of VH. Like both Sammy and DLR. Hate to ride the fence, but I am cool with rocking out to Fair Warning and 5150. Enjoy the new VH live album, despite the warts and all. But also miss the Van Hagar era. - Whitesnake: Big fan of Coverdale and Co. Coverdale's voice is also a bit rough these days, but like what I'm hearing from the Purple Album so far. Love the 1987-SOTT era. - Politics: Not really active, politically. Probably won't be seeing me in that part of the board. LOL That's about all for now.

Man, tougher crowd here than I thought. LOL Don`t worry about Lee. He always thinks that if anyone likes the same stuff that I do, they might be fake accounts - even though I could easily prove otherwise, but it`s just so fucking laughable.

Hey, So this is my first post here. I usually post at my own boards over at www.ElectricEyeRock.com and this place was brought to my attention pretty recently. I didn't realize this place was that ancient, how long has it been around, and how long has it laid dormant? What is the meaning behind the Freewheeler name? Anyway, I'm *ech*. Like the sound you make when you see a nest of cockroaches. Imma head over to the music sekshun and see what's going on there. Cheers!
