I'd hope not. Much like anyone who has ever performed there. They'd be silly to think people showed up to see Madonna.

i dunno....when watching the halftime show, i thought about the rodeo show kiss played & how the overzealous kiss fans wanted to credit the band for the big crowd, despite that the show draws a big crowd every year. i can only wonder what they'd say about the super bowl!

I see where you're coming from, but the Superbowl...is the Superbowl! It's huge and pretty well known not just in the US, not like a rodeo show.
Just like their performance at the Winter Olympics - they didn't bring in the crowd, the damn Olympics event itself did.

well, i know that & you know that, but..... oh, never mind I'll say it's silly for someone to think that KISS are pulling in crowds to these HUGE events, but I'm sure someone might disagree. And I will say it's silly to think so. In other news, I've heard Kelly Clarkson performed well singing the US national anthem.

Some would say that Kiss caused the sellout. Of course, they'd be wrong. They were wrong when they claimed that about the rodeo show. They were wrong when they claimed that about some of the European festivals.
However, the organisers of these events don't just ask anyone.

Wasn't much of a fan before but she gave a performance befitting being the original Idol winner. Madonna continues to make me cringe bar " Like a prayer " but her new music is diatribe, so unbefitting of someone like her to record the crap she does now.

If KISS brought a sick ass revamped version of the Destroyer stage, it would be cool for the Super Bowl. I mean a fucking SICK version. Over the top crazy.
Crazy imagination and possibilities.

It isn't really the SUPER Bowl until KISS plays the halftime show. Frankly, KISS doesn't have broad enough appeal for the NFL to hire them for that gig. And if they did get it they probably would just go with a wall of amps/speaker cabinets. Of course, whatever stage is used by any band has to be able to be put up in 10 minutes, and torn down in the same amount of time. That limits what you can do with the stage to a certain degree. So KISS would just go with the tired and true. (Not a typo...)

I can't keep up. It's all too smart for me. I'll be gone for a week or so after tomorrow, so I'm expecting you to take my role. ;D It may have to be a team effort. I can't top perfection.

It may have to be a team effort. I can't top perfection. This is true. However, I am a fair man. All I demand is a concerted effort. I'll do my best for you.

Yes, you rang ? I question mark your question mark He questioned whether you know the definition of diatribe. I was searching for a word. Diabolical would have fit much better.

You don't even know what diabolical means do you? Her music is devilish? Not most of her music for the past decade IMO. How about we go with her new music from the past decade especially the latest release as CRAPOLA ! I mean her American Pie cover Music I think the last good song i remember is beautiful stranger. Her best almost seems behind her. It's been a while since " Ray of Light " and that was ' 98. She hasn't done anything great in ages IMO.

And that's still diabolical? Again, the point, which seemingly flew over your head, is that you don't understand the word.

If KISS played the Super Bowl, would they be responsible for the sellout ? No just like the Rodeo they would be picked to played the event(and we all know that they just don't pick a bar act to do this). As to the aforementioned festival thing,it's a far different animal being the band picked to Headline the show than to play while the sun is shining.People have no problem pointing out how KISS opened for Maiden at 88 Donnington(which is true) but they have a problem with all the festivals KISS have headlined since then. While KISS may not be responsible for every single ticket being sold at a festival, they are the ones picked to headline ,thus being considered the main draw for that day.

Good points. Some think that those festivals KISS headlined would have the same attendance if Britny Fox headlined.
