Peter Capaldi is the best thing about the current series. He's wasted on the scripts, though.
In the old days, a new Doctor would mean a new producer, new writers and a whole new production team to keep things fresh. That needs to happen again.

I haven't seen any new Dr. Who episodes. We don't fucking get shit for channels.

Zelix you have the internet, download and watch that shit on the tv, either via burning to DVD (convertX to DVD is fantastic and . the results play on all DVD players) or streaming using a roku or something like that.
If you don't have a roku, I'm telling you it's worth every penny to get at least the roku 2 or 1. Max you'd spend is 60 bones and you'd probably love the shit it of how easy it is to stream stuff from the HDD to the TV.

This week's episode was, as Malcolm Tucker would say, fuckin' marvellous.
After nigh on two full seasons of barely tolerable mediocrity and three preceding episodes best left forgotten, it was a joy to see a glimpse or two of the old Moffat magic in tonight’s effort. Yes he reused some plot elements and structures from his previous episodes (when doesn’t he?) and some of the dialogue was a bit glib for the tone (another well worn Moff trope), but this time he chucked some extra seasoning in the pot with all those familiar ingredients and let them cook for just the right amount of time.
Much to my delight, Capaldi began to show elements of Tom Baker’s manic intensity, with flickers of humour that were more measured and appropriate than the excesses of the late 70s. Will Twelve be this generation’s Four? That’s my hope for him and, if Moffat and co can keep their future works to this standard or beyond, he might just achieve it.
More importantly, Listen made me want to go away and write something as good or better. DW hasn’t motivated me to do that in many a year and I’m very happy it did tonight. As the man himself once said, ‘why not? After all, that’s how it all started.’

I'll have to figure out how to watch it on there.

Yes, very much so. His Doctor provides a great contrast to his more goofy predecessor.

This season is fucking crap... Capaldi is great, but the show has taken a nosedive in quality. Unless something changes next season, I'm done.

It needs new writers and a bigger production budget (this season looks cheaply made compared to the previous one). 'Listen' was a great episode, minus the shit with Clara's annoying boyfriend.

Actually I think there has been a bit of an up turn in quality compared to the previous 2 seasons...but nowhere near the quality of seasons 1,2 and 4. I liked Matt Smith in season 5 but he became a caricature of himself in 6 and 7. I agree a new showrunner and new writers are needed.

...and in reply to the original question. I like Capaldi very much. I think there are a lot of layers to be peeled back and dimensions to be explored.

Thought Season 1 was mostly crap. I don't think that the reboot didn't really start picking up until Season 3.
