Confirming what many had suspected and occasionally even suggested out loud to their television screens, the current eighth season of House will indeed be its last. The show's creative staff (via the network) issued a statement announcing their decision with what appeared to be a heavy heart, which was then properly diagnosed at the last minute as indigestion. "The producers have always imagined House as an enigmatic creature; he should never be the last one to leave the party," it reads in part. "How much better to disappear before the music stops, while there is still some promise and mystique in the air." And now that the producers know that the show is ending, they can take that lingering mystery and solve it with a two-minute Hugh Laurie monologue.

Those fuckers. Why are they doing this to me!?! In all seriousness, most fans of the show knew the end was fast approaching. The show has been slightly lacklustre the past season. Hope they bring back Cameron very briefly and this show will end either with House dying (but finding happiness) or continuing as usual being a miserable guy. Luckily I have all the seasons on dvd so I'll be able to get my Hugh Laurie fix when I need it. I need a hug.

I feel your pain, i went through it with The Practice. Atleast you have every season on box set THEY STILL to my never ending mother trucking frustration have only released season one of The Practive on DVD which is beyond rediculous. Shits me no end you can readilly find every season of The Hills but not The Practice. So there is no confusion i mean The Practice with Dylan McDermott as there is another similar named drama program that's come along in recent years.

I don't yet have his album, but I have heard it's good. There was an excellent doco about it on SBS or ABC the other week.

I don't like that he drove his car through his chick's house........glad it was cancelled, if only for that reason....though, I did like the show.
