Anyone remember Mr. Sunshine or Studio 60?
The former "Friends" star will play an irreverent yet charming sportscaster who tries to move on from loss and reluctantly finds surprising solace from the members of his mandatory group-therapy sessions.
The multi-camera pilot will re-team Perry with former "Friends" and "Joey" executive producer Scott Silveri, who is writing as well as executive-producing "Go On," as well as onetime "Friends" director Todd Holland, who is directing as well as executive-producing.
Karey Burke is also executive-producing the Universal Television production.
"Transformers" actress Julie White has also been cast in the pilot.
In addition to "Go On," Perry has lined up a recurring role in the CBS drama "The Good Wife," playing an "extremely charming Chicago attorney" who's assigned to head up a blue-ribbon panel investigating a suspicious police shooting. During the investigation, Julianna Margulies' character, Alicia, begins to question his actions.
