At the two shows just before Paul got sick they restaged Do You Love Me and had Gene and Thayer get up on those cherry pickers and go over the crowd; instead of doing it for RNRAN as they’ve done for the last five years.
Why?
Why make a change like that for no reason after all this time?
Because it frees up RNRAN for a more traditional staging, so you can have ex-members jump up for that one song and it would still work. You can’t do that if you have Gene and Thayer over the audience, it wouldn’t work.
Test run for the final show?

I will be shocked if anything happens on December 2 - that fans have wanted, but know KISS won't do. It would be nice to actually give them credit at the end of this tour.

I would have said that too. But why make a major change to the staging after five years of touring? It makes no sense.
Oh and another detail - Singer starts playing IWMFLY instead of Do You Love Me.
