I've been scouring my clubs, and they've not booked any shows I wanna go to. How many hours are you willing to drive for a show you REALLY want to see? Even flying to another state?

I don't have a specific answer. I have driven 2 hours each way for a few shows and that's been it really. The only artist I think I'm willing to travel to see at this point is Mercyful Fate. Other than that.... all of my major heroes I've seen in some way or another, besides anyone in Pink Floyd, but that ship has likely sailed anyway.

For me, I've driven from the Twin Cities to Chicago for several shows, as well as Milwaukee and Madison...that like 7, 5, and 4 hours respectively. I almost drove to Nashville for Creatures Fest, which is apparently upwards of 13 hours. Luckily? ...my buddy I was supposed to go with bailed on me a couple days before and it just so happened last minute flights dropped in price to semi-reasonable rates so I flew rather than drove that godawful drive by myself. Most recently flew to Atlanta to see the Marvelous 3 reunion...then drove to Chicago a week later to see the likely last show. On one hand, I hope it's not the last...on the other, I do like having seen the last show they ever do in person... That could still end up the case if they do more, but who knows?

I’ve got Maiden in November and that’s it at the moment. Thought about going to see Shinedown in July, it’s only 25 miles from home, but it’s at the Inkcarceration Festival and I’m not much of a fan of the festival setting.

Add: Bit Brigade Indigo Girls and Melissa Etheridge You must really love the concert experience. I can just imagine all the shows you have gone to when all these artists were more in their prime.

Eh. Half were. Half were not. Whateva. We are doing ok. Saving money with not buying so much red meat. We sold a house last year. I'm married to LawyerWife. And no, my grocery bills have gone CRAZY TOWN!!!! I spent $10 on tomatoes to make a pasta sauce this week.... But, it'll be way healthier for us. We aren't buying fake, convenient foods anymore.

I’ve added Sebastian Bach (friend bought me a ticket) and Ace at Ohio Bike Week and that’s a free show. I could buy a $65 pit ticket or $50 bleacher seat for Ace but I’ll watch from the lawn for free.

I got a wembling situation going on.
Should I get Billy Joel and Sting Tix?
It'll cost us $300.
I've never seen Billy and I've also been buying craptons of his shiz.
