I ordered them...mostly for the gatefold covers. Doubt Batts cares. He may already have the OGs, and if he doesn't, that's what he'd look for...and for 40 bucks each, I'm sure he could find them cheaper.

Am I blind or does it not actually show what the gatefold looks like in the links - so you are paying for something blind?

I have first pressings of the following:
Frehley's Comet
Live +1
Second Sighting
Trouble Walkin'
I'm well past good. I found Live +1 in Davenport IA on a minor league hockey road trip.
The idea of these oohhh...look at me pressings, nah, I'm good. There was a fire that destroyed about half of the original master tapes of all record labels in like 05 or something? So, when it comes to old stuff, OG is my go to unless it's prohibitively expensive.

If an album has been remastered really well like with some CD's prior to the loudness wars and has given the album a new life when it comes to the sound, does that interest you with buying a new version on vinyl or do you just focus on buying the albums as they were originally released and how they sounded then?

Remastering is a process to make an album sound louder and/or clearer like the original pressing. Well....if the goal is press an album to make it sound like the original pressing, why would I get that if I already have the Original Pressing? The goal in the 97 Kiss remasters was to make them sound like the LPs did back in the day.

They sounded like the albums were recorded the week prior and were better sounding than the original 70's releases, but I guess it is a case by case basis.

Just seems odd that they wouldn't show what it looks like. If it is rather impressive - it would increase sales. I hope they actually have it done already and this isn't a "Magic" type situation.

Think credit cards work the same...file a chargeback. You're only screwed if you wait forever for the non-existent product to be released.
