Brian Tichy reveals his departure from The Dead Daisies not related to any artist you may see him play with Two days ago, drummer Brian Tichy (ex-Whitesnake, ex-Foreigner) made the shock announcement that he had been kicked out of The Dead Daisies.
On the other hand, The Dead Daisies did not corroborate this information but rather indicated “…. we love Brian, but he is going to be touring with Gene and it’s gonna be rockin! Meanwhile, Tommy is gonna be pounding the drums with us 🔥“.
The “Gene” referred to by The Dead Daisies is presumably none other than KISS bassist Gene Simmons who will be touring once again with his Gene Simmons Band with the first show set for the Summer Breeze Open Air Festival in Sao Paulo, Brazil on April 26, 2024. RollingStone reported back on January 18, 2024 that the Gene Simmons Band will include Tichy on the drums, and guitarists Brent Woods (Sebastian Bach, Wildside, ex-Vince Neil) and Zach Throne (Corey Taylor).
There was some suggestion from a number of people that Tichy‘s declaration was just a publicity stunt.
However, one day later, Tichy was apparently not ready to divulge the exact reason why he was no longer with The Dead Daisies but the following message was posted on his Facebook page:
“There are false claims being made about why I’ve been kicked out of The Dead Daisies.
Regardless of what The Dead Daisies have been stating on social media, it has nothing to do with any artist you may see me play with.
I want to thank everyone for their overwhelming support!”

Brian Tichy is amazing. He is better off doing something else more legitimate than The Dead Daisies.
I loved that he was in Whitesnake for a bit.

Old man drama based on a band owned by a billionaire's son.
STupid.

Dead Daisies are a joke. Billionaire hires a bunch of gunslingers to be in his band and pays to be on the bill at festivals.

They fired the wrong guy. John Corabi needs to go, then I might be interested again. Glenn Hughes' all too brief tenure out front made me pay more attention to the band than I would have otherwise.
I was a big supporter of Union back in the day out of loyalty to Bruce Kulick, but I wish he'd chosen another singer/second guitarist to work with.

Of course I thought the Corabi Crue album was the best thing Motley ever did, so I was already on board with Corbabi working with Bruce.

I dig Corabi...don't get why some people can't stand him. I think he has a cool voice.
