Does anyone else like this show? I'm always a little more fond of his U.S adventures but still like the others. Some of the restaurants are absolute disasters and of course, watching Gordon fly off the handle just makes my day. The man has so much rage, I love it. Often these restaurants are truly on the brink of shutting down and it's been interesting to see if Gordon follows up or I just jump online to see if the restaurant is still in action.

i haven't seen it in awhile, but i used to watch it every chance i could (both US & BBC). i turned my wife on to it as well, and shortly after that she met ramsey at a restaurant charity fundraiser.....said he was very charming, but at the same time, the word "sugarcoat" is most definitely NOT in his vocabulary, lol....
i prefer the BBC version, just because he seems more hands-on with it.....i can't stand the "sensationalist" narration of the US version.

A lot of people feel the same way about the differences in the UK/US versions.

My wife and I used to watch it and preferred the UK version as well. We kinda got bored with it after a while though. There was a bit of Ramsay overkill here in Australia. He became insanely popular and they started running Kitchen Nightmares US, UK and Hell's Kitchen - plus another show I can't remember the title of. Then young Gordon fell under some controversy after insulting a current affairs host. It became a huge story (why, I'm not sure, there's more important world issues to be concerned about) and afterwards there was backlash against Gordon. The thing was, the woman he threw these insults at works at the channel that aired his television shows. Suddenly, there were fewer time slots vacant for his shows and they got pushed later into the evening. I suppose it was coupled with the GR burn out Aussies audiences were experiencing. It's only recently they're showing Kitchen Nightmares again at a decent hour.
