Johnny Depp tells Vanity Fair this month that he doesn’t like photo shoots very much, and by that I mean he compares them to being raped.
“Well, you just feel like you’re being raped somehow. Raped … It feels like a kind of weird — just weird, man.” He’ll pose with fans, “But whenever you have a photo shoot or something like that, it’s like — you just feel dumb. It’s just so stupid.”
It would be easy to say he was exaggerating, but many photographers are gay, and Depp, though an astoundingly nice guy that everyone likes, doesn’t seem all that smart. Someone should get some puppets and go have Johnny explain EXACTLY what the photographer had him do.

I actually read this yesterday and considered posting it.
I love Johnny Depp. I think he's a cool actor, he's hot, and he's done a lot of charity work.
This however, was a dick move on his part. You get to say NO to a photo shoot, unlike victims who don't get that chance.
The actress from Twilight said the same thing and she got torn a new asshole (and rightly so).
Idiots.

Well, with all due respect, you can phrase something a certain way to express more feeling.
Rape your mind. Rape your soul. Rape whatever.
Not physical rape. Nobody is raping him.
He is not comparing a disgusting rape of a woman to his photo shoots.
At all.
He feels violated for some reason.
And rape is a word that really makes you realize what he feels.
That is what he thinks, I would suppose.
That's all.

Not saying it's wrong for him to dislike the photoshoots, but I'm sure he could phrase it better.

Maybe a shitty choice of words but, he's not a dick for saying it.. Even the good guys can be jerks sometimes. At the end of the day, he apologised for it and it's done with and I'm glad he realised what he said was silly.

well, i'd prefer he say "rape" instead of "my asshole getting reamed against my will", but that's just me......

Disgusting choice of words but not really unusual. A lot of people use the word rape in this kind of flippant way. It's symptomatic of how rape is treated in our society.
