These hosts suck. If they are indeed going to make it to T.V.....they will have to get some real anchors. But of course if it makes it to T.V., money will change everything anyway.

These are not anchors - they started it and run it. So because they are so popular, it will be a TV version of what you see here with the only difference being production value ala they will have a bigger budget. Here is info on the TV show:

I assume since they are talking about Hollywood accepting these comedians and mentioned actresses that they must mean accepting them for roles in movies and television. And if that is the case, I must have missed the time when Hollywood was really super accepting of ugly chicks in comedy....or anything else for that matter.
People like Rosie and Janeane rarely were never going to be up for the same kind of roles that Anna Farris, Mila Kunis, or Leslie Mann get.
There are only two leading rom com roles I can think of that Janeane did, The Truth About Cats and Dogs with is a Cyrano de Bergerac story, playing off Uma Thurman to show that she's unattractive but gets the guy anyway. The other one is The Matchmaker which doesn't frame her as a great beauty, but rather a woman obsessed with her career and in which she loses her senator boyfriend to a woman that is more attractive and ends up with a guy that falls for her feisty nature rather than her looks.
I can not recall any film in which Rosie didn't play the witty friend role.

I can not recall any film in which Rosie didn't play the witty friend role. Well, there was this... ...but I think we all tried to forget about that one.

I've never paid attention to Young Turks, but I did watch Cenk when he was briefly anchoring MSNBC's show after Hardball, and I wasn't impressed. He seemed a little...I dunno, dry, boring, etc. Maybe MSNBC was just keeping him on a leash or something. (Hell, he even got replaced by Al Sharpton, someone who'd never anchored any kind of show at all before as far as I know...)

He quit MSNBC, because they did have him on a leash and wouldn't let him say the kinds of things he wanted to say.

When she's not shaving her head or looking like she hasn't take a shower in two months, there have been momemts where Janeane Garafalo has been very attractive. Call me kooky.

I totally had a crush on her back in the mid-'90s, circa her Ben Stiller Show/SNL years. ...Something has definitely gone awry since then, though.

Ok, you got me, in that one she played the "witty"** cop who made jokes** at the expense of everyone at the sex club. Still she was a comedic** side character in the film, not a love interest. **the terms witty, jokes, and comedic are used EXTREMELY loosely to describe what was supposed to happen in the film, no actual wit, jokes, or comedy was to be found in that trainwreck.
