He has a right to believe what he wants, even if he is quoting a book of fiction.

I'm sure the vast majority of people out of work would LOVE to get a job and "earn their own keep". But for people to get a job and earn their own keep there needs to be jobs to get and ones that pay enough to allow them to pay for basic necessities.

Anyone quoting their religion in a hall of legistlation should be immediately booted. They don't belong together. Your god and what'll fix my bridges, roads, and create jobs for my community have nothing to do with one another. Sorry, but people's religious beliefs aren't fixing our economic problems and almost none of those problems have anything to do with being gay or which god you do or do not believe in. Let's quit taking our eyes off the real problems here by worrying about how someone else choosing to live their personal life aligns with how you choose to live yours. None of that accomplishes anything and our problems are far more dire right now than religion-based differences.
Fuck your Adam and Steve comments. What does that have to do with anything of real significance? Let's fix our problems you Jesus-loving fucktard.
