I dig that Swift album. Her others have a song or two I like, but I like pretty much that whole album...at least the original one. From what I've heard, there's very little difference in the re-record. The previous era of Freewheeler was very hard rock/metal focused. Some would be mocking any like with Taylor Swift or any of the other what they deemed pop tarts. Not saying you should care or anything, but there was definitely a line between what was deemed good music and bad music, mostly by women pop singers. Blackwell got shit all the time for any pop praising he did with Britney, Katy Perry, etc.

Back in like late 2020 or early 2021, I bought the original version at an antique mall, but no one cared...so I ended up selling it later at a profit. A couple months back, LawyerWife wanted it again, so we bought Taylor's Version. I can't tell you if it's any different at all.

I did a a little online previewing and it sounds close enough you probably wouldn't know which is which...at least from the parts I heard.

To be fair, I have a few of those, too, that I'd prefer not to admit on a message board. 🤣

Not sure I buy that...I have many records over 30 years old (and one 50 years) still in the shrink with no issue. Can it happen? I suppose if they're not stored in proper conditions and the heat cause the shrink to shrink...then maybe. Otherwise, I lean toward calling bullshit on that one. MythBusters should do a segment on it. Welp. I take all of mine OUT of the shrink. Over time, it can...well... shrink. if you get an album that's sealed from the 70's, it's unplayable. Oh, BTW...I had a sealed Dynasty record. Granted, it was an early to mid 80s copy, but it was sealed. I opened it a couple years ago and there was zero issue with the record. Now, the missing poster and order form I assumed to be in there and were not was an issue, but other than that...all good.

That isn't entirely true. There are some movies that I like for whatever reason - that I know are shit and I wouldn't argue anyone else saying so. My liking some C or D level quality movie for whatever reason doesn't automatically make it good objectively speaking.

Generally speaking sure, but we all like certain things we know are crap like objectively bad movies. You liking KISS Meets The Phantom as an example doesn't make it a good movie. It's terrible, but applies to the notion of a guilty pleasure.

Do you anticipate the flashing eyes not working in about a month or so? No, they're chargeable with a C-cable.

I was always hoping for Mars to do a solo album and then he did one. It is not good. I was expecting some bluesy rock thing - maybe something like Crue with Corabi, since he was initially writing songs with him.

Yes and then I can die happy.
