I dig The Darkness. Some people think they are a joke band like Steel Panther. Those people are morons.

How important is the player to get the best out of a record? I mean are you insulting the record with a basic level record player?

How important is the player to get the best out of a record? I mean are you insulting the record with a basic level record player? It's important. A shit TT can literally ruin your records. And they may not play worth a shit and a cheap TT either...your records can skip and not because the album is problematic. You need something half decent...and then the cartridge/stylus makes a big difference as well.

How important is the player to get the best out of a record? I mean are you insulting the record with a basic level record player? I have a 50 year old vintage Panasonic PL-200 direct drive. I don't use no modern bullshit. yes, the better the player, the better the sound and the longer your records will last.

I dig your set up and the holder for the cover.
Do you have speakers that can play the album in other rooms or is it a "man cave" and that's where you listen to records?

One for TV. One for Music. It's not a man cave, I don't like that, but it IS the one room I have decorated. But sadly we went from a 2400 square foot, two floor apartment at our old house to a 1200 square footer...so the good news is I can just turn the volume up and the music can be heard all through the house! I did put a run down, afghans on the TV when not in use, and jerseys all over the walls in order to dampen the sound a little bit.

I guess you are going to miss that place. In 2020, during the great covid hoax, we lost my mother, stepfather, and father in law. In 2021, my family and my mother in law, bought our current house. In 2022, we moved into this house. In 2023, we sold our spare house much to our chagrin. We had planned to rent it and we'd been using it as a clubhouse. That was the house where my family was started. I wish I was still there, but I can only make the best of what I have right now. This house, this situation, is not my forever.

Do you mean where you currently live will be temporary or just an overall life situation that will get better?

My mother in law lives in the first floor apartment. It turned out to be a great stressor to me. Meaning, this is not our forever home. She’s 79 at this point. Still mobile, but yeah. We are already planning our next chapter and where we will move to. We expect to remain in St. Louis at least until retirement and we have eyes on dream homes right now. As for my life? I really can’t see how my life could be any better man. Wife and I are happy. Kiddo is excelling in school. Our financial position is the best it’s ever been. Life is about perfect for me.
