This evening, I've got some Prince going, in preparation for Tuesday's concert. Darling Nikki is on repeat. That is one heck of a sexy song.

My Father saw Piaf several times during her heyday. That would have been an incredible experience. Wish i had of gotten out to see Pavorotti on his last tour here before retirement. Music that transcends language is magic.

That would have been an incredible experience. Wish i had of gotten out to see Pavorotti on his last tour here before retirement. Music that transcends language is magic. My Father saw Pavarotti several times, as well as many of Opera's greatest stars from the 50s onwards and had a huge vinyl collection (mostly imported from Europe...predominantly Italy). His passion was collecting the rare works of the great stars of the early 20th century. Guiseppe Di Stefano was his favourite. What he didn't know about opera would fit on a pin head. To spend a week with your father playing all the old vinyls of opera classics would be phenomonal experience. Looking at the covers, listening to the music, talking about his experiences.... wow ! You just blew my mind.

I've seen a number of alice cooper's newer albums on here (starting with Brutal Planet which I LOVED when it came out) are the following ones after Brutal Planet as heavy? I loved the mixture of alice's vocals with some good old fashioned heavy music behind it

Oh and to keep on topic I'm listening to all of Sonic Boom for the very first time. You gotta post your take on it coming as a not-really-KISS-fan. I turned a dude from Undernet onto it who never liked more than one or two KISS songs and he actually wound up loving it (particularly Gene's songs). Me, eh, it's a good enough album but I haven't really gone back to it much after the initial spins (except for Gene's songs).

Also, I loved the original versions of Vulgar but still haven't listened to anything off the remastered versions but the song Piss AKA Use my Third Arm Predux

Thought about my old dog Jackyl today for the first time in a while, so now I'm listening to the band my mother named her after. My favorite My mom's favorite (she sure was a special lady!) Another cut from that album (really the only one I've listened too)
