But what's even the point of posting this? How many false alarms, cancelled shows, secret meetings, band practices in broom closets, etc., have there been? In less effort than it takes to post a "Coming soon!" for the thousandth time, a simple audio clip could be posted. Why hype a song no one can hear? At this stage, it's all click-whoring desperation from anyone enabling the Delusion Messiah. If I heard a new Vinnie song - I would post that I heard it. Would that make me an attention whore or just acknowledging what really happened? Yes. And that's because of the track record of the party involved - Vinnie. If memory serves, didn't joma post that he heard some Ace tunes at Creaturesfest? No one had any problem with that, because for all his issues, Ace actually releases music. In addition, he released videos while recording in his house, and released entire songs well before the album was out. We have had countless grand announcements from Vinnie, yet we haven't heard even a single note. It takes less effort to release an audio clip than to make these lying announcements. For the record, like everyone else, I don't believe the song exists. But imagine that it does - what possibly can Vinnie gain by not letting anyone hear it? There is literally nothing to gain; it barely even damages his reputation further, since even his few fans hardly believe anything he says.

I really don't understand how I - Hey Man - as you have known for years - would be an attention whore if I just so happened to hear a new song by Vinnie and posted about it. I am not promoting him or doing marketing for him or sucking his balls like that Neal guy, I am just saying that I actually heard a new Vinnie song and giving my view of it which could very well be that it sucks. It is no different than if I said that I heard a new Richie Kotzen song that he may be releasing 6 months from now. Now I get the point about Vinnie and not releasing stuff, which is why I said that I believe Mitch entirely about him hearing a song, but it is out of his hands as to when the rest of the world will hear it. That's not on him.

That's not on him. With all the false alarms, why even say you've heard it? Kotzen has a massive discography and new videos post routinely. No one would take issue with you saying you heard a new song, and everyone would believe you. But Vinnie has been pulling these shenanigans for decades, including his fictitious box set. He even pulled it a couple of weeks ago bailing on that show. How ridiculous does that video with the singer look now? So what did Vin do - call Mitch and play it over the phone? I bet that sounded great. Did he send him an mp3? For far less effort than sending an attachment, he could've uploaded it to YouTube. If he's computer illiterate, this free site will do it for him: www.tunestotube.com/It's well past time for some damage control. Post a clip, for crying out loud. A child can do it!

Why can you hear it and I can't? I'd believe if you said Kotzen, but not Vinnie. We could still be friends, though. You probably know people locally who every year think the Leafs will win the Cup. We all have our blind spots of things we hope will come true, but deep down we know they never will. Like me and Cindy Crawford.

Do you really think I would say I heard a Vinnie song and be able to talk about it if I really didn't? Fine if you don't want to believe the Mitch Lafon's of the world, but I am not emailing you saying I heard a new Vinnie song - if I didn't. Nothing to gain doing that. It may not even be Vinnie doing the sharing, but maybe some contact at a recording studio doing the sharing. I am not wishing or hoping for a new Vinnie song or album either. In fact, if I did hear a new song, I would most likely be shitting all over it. Not saying it is smokin'.
